LISTENER'S LETTERS
Dear All at Angel Radio,
I just wanted to say "hello and thank you" to everybody at Angel Radio -
we live in Bezirgan, in the Taurus mountains of Turkey, just inland from the Mediterranean coast.
We found Angel Radio purely by chance a month ago when a friend gave us a gift of a digital radio, and we were trying out channels one by one. But that's all stopped since we did find your wonderful Angel Radio!!
How marvellous to have a radio station which doesn't simply churn out endless, dismal pop music!
How wonderful to have a radio station with presenters who do it for the love of the music, rather than to enlarge their own egos!
And how absolutely splendid to hear good music - in the past month you've played most of my favourites - Mario Lanza, Paul Robeson, Elvis, Arthur Tracy the Street Singer, Dean Martin, Richard Tauber, oh the list goes on and on, and all of these superb artists largely ignored by the BBC.
And I must make special mention and say "thank you" for a couple of programmes I especially enjoyed - the one about the Fairground Organs, and the one just broadcast, Richard Stevens' programme about Church Bells. These are two of the things I miss from the UK, and it was wonderful to hear these sounds on the wireless- and lots of interesting bits of information, too.
Congratulations to you all on a superb station, we do hope you can keep up the good work, and that Angel Radio goes from strength to strength.
We will certainly spread the word in this area - we only wish we lived in your area and could help with the Angel Radio!

Where do I start?? At 31 I'm probably one of your younger listeners but I have always enjoyed the company of older people and love to hear such wonderful and interesting memories of the 30s,40s & 50s. It's so refreshing to hear articulate presenters who don't resort to smut and swearing. I think that senior citizens in Britain are generally treated abysmally, almost as if people older than 50 have nothing to offer, when in so many cases nothing could be further from the truth and it makes my blood boil! I'll get off my soap box now!
I am so glad I discovered Angel Radio, you're doing a wonderful job - long may it continue.

Dear sir, I was a Copnor Portsmouth boy born and raised and came to Canada 41 years ago, imagine my surprise when through a web sight called "service pals" I received an email from a very good friend of mine who I had not seen or heard from for 53 years, Yvonne Miller or as I knew her as Bonnie Manley, Yvonne and I served in the RAF together at Odiham she lived in Southampton at that time and I lived in Leigh Park the irony is now she is married she lives in Leigh Park, we now keep in contact with each other, she told me about your radio station and I have it in my favorites, wonderful music, unfortunately I cannot listen to Yvonne's show as we are 8 hrs behind you so it is 3 o'clock in the morning when she is on, but who knows maybe I wont be able to sleep one night. keep up the good work.
