Volunteering with Angel Radio
Angel Radio's volunteer staff curently number around 80 people, most
being aged 50 and over.
Our volunteers fill a wide range of posts including -
Script Writing Presenting Programmes Editing
Reception Desk Programme Production Record Library
Voice Overs Proof Reading Secretarial
Cleaning Diary Collating Fundraising
Research Hospitality Disc Transfer
Advertising Community Liaison Web Building
Accounts Customer Relations Computer Tech
Angel Radio volunteers work as many hours as they feel is appropriate. They generally work as a team with many volunteer tasks overlapping other tasks.
Most of our volunteers work at 17 Market Parade in Havant, Hampshire although we also have quite a few people on the team who work from home.
Volunteers ideally live within the Borough of Havant or in Portsmouth, but this is not obligatory.

LOCAL EVENT REPORTER
Angel Radio is seeking a volunteer with about 5 hours a week to spare to attend local events with a microphone and digital recorder to produce short 'newsy' items for broadcast.
The most suitable person will have a pleasant manner and the ability to talk to people from all walks of life about a wide range of local topics.
Working hours to suit the events. The ideal candidate will live within 5 miles of Angel Radio's Havant studio. Training will be given on use of the recording equipment, interview techniques, and editing.

FUNDRAISING / AWARENESS RAISING TEAM
Angel Radio is seeking a small team of self motivated volunteers with about 3 hours a week to spare to organise events such as coffee mornings, small concerts, book sales, etc. to raise funds and raise awareness of Angel Radio in the local community.
Working hours to suit the events which the team organises. The ideal candidate will live within 5 miles of Angel Radio's Havant studio.

78rpm RECORD TO CD TRANSFER PERSON
Angel Radio is seeking a volunteer with an interest in saving and restoring 100,000 old 78rpm records. Unless you are interested in the records this could be a boring job. Ideally you will live within 5 miles of the Angel Radio studio in Havant.
The most suitable person will have basic typing skills, an ability to work alone and be fairly dexterous. Working hours to suit yourself. The ideal candidate will live within 5 miles of Angel Radio's Havant studio and have about 10 hours per week to spare. Training will be given.
